Mppt 100/50 lower voltage vs higher current

When mppt lowers the pv voltage let's say 80v to the set charging voltage about 28v, does it increase the current by the same percentage or is it going to lose significant power in the process?.

Power into the mppt pretty much equals power out, minus some small losses.

Power = Volts x Amps.

80v x 10a (800w) into the mppt would equal about 28v x 28.5a (800w) out to the battery.

P = U x I

There is not much lost from input to the output.
The MPPT have a efficiency of around 98%.
