Hi Gents,
so i replaced my Cerbo Box in June, because i had some serious stability issues with the old device which even could not be solved with a factory reset. Since June i have a new Cerbo and also a new VRM Portal-ID and a new VRM Installation.
This morning i saw, that i can replace my cerbo box in the VRM Settings of the old installation.
What exactly happens if do this? Will the old VRM Installation continue to run, but with the new Cerbo box and merge all the data of the Old and New Installation?
If you move the GX, it will use the new gx to log to the old (replaced) site.
But will stop logging to the new one. (The one it is currently one)
It won’t migrate what has already been logged on the new site.
When trying this procedure, I get
.
Do I need to do this procedure with the new Cerbo before doing the replace procedure on the old site -
I do not know if you have seen the manual for VRM, here is the GX device swapping instructions.
Thanks for quick reply. It is what we’re trying to do, but the process stops before we get to step 5.
Here’s what we have done in more detail:
One of our installations in Malawi stopped working properly.
Our installation team physically replaced the cerbo, added the new cerbo to a new installation in VRM.
After having left the site where the installation is done, the team (and I) have tried the process in the manual, but the process fails with the message in screenshot 1.
Not clear to us how to proceed.
