Today’s VRM release to production VRM includes the following changes:
[Installation Overview] Added a filter bar to the installation overview to filter the table on specific parameters. The tag and team filters are moved to this section too. Note you can bookmark the URL after using the filters, to quickly save or share this subset of your sites with someone else.
[Installation Dashboard] Updated value formatting to align with new Venus GUI
[Installation Dashboard] Introduced a new banner to showcase recently released features. Currently available on mobile only and only for the new watch apps. Once clicked away, this won’t show again for your user account.
[Remote Console] Fixed virtual keyboard issue on Android.
[Alarm rules] Custom names for devices now show in the alarm rules.
[Device list] VRM connection data attribute is now visible in the device list for gateways.
[Dynamic ESS] Removed the requirement to enable the toggle for controls before starting the configuration.
[Dynamic ESS] Clarified that settings are saved, even if you leave the configuration midway.
[Dynamic ESS] Corrected graph values for installations with half-hour pricing, which were previously displaying halved values.
[Dynamic ESS] Added support for price tooltips to display up to four decimal places when more than two decimals are available.
[Dynamic ESS] Octopus API credentials now validated before saving.
You do not need to do anything to see these changes, your VRM will update automatically!
That is true But its a slippery slope. Next thing you know, you’re greeted by a half screen add for some mobile game when you want to check up on your system
All in all, very impressed with all the new features, updated UI and continuous DESS improvements. So keep up the good work
Now we can create groups of installations and this is a good thing.
Using VRM more and more, starting to install some Beta and large version to do customization.
Step by step, now my sites are 4 with 8 installations.
Now, I miss, for exemple, with installation’s groups, a field or a view with GX Firmware Version instead of going in each installation to check them out. (or installation quick report view)
But resuming versions … this is perhaps more in use for professionals when you need to plan an update and you want to have a quick view…
It could be a quick table reports function, by installation, sites, groups… installers… owner …
This is just what come to my mind using VRM quite on a daily base now…
Great that you are using the installation groups. I can see the value in knowing the firmware versions the GX’s in an installation group are in.
I will pass this on to the UX/UI expert on VRM, to see where we can best incorporate this information. Thank you for providing a clear use case for us to work out!
That is more by design than a bug. Logically in these types of graphs, everything below the X-axis is negative. In the case of the energy graph, that doesn’t apply the same way.
However, I do see the need to get an at a glance idea of how much energy you are seeing in that graph. I will discuss with the team how we will provide that, might just be a Y axis with positive numbers on both sides of the X axis.
@Barbara,
Please add a DESS SOC. So that between TARGET SOC and DESS SOC is for self consumption.
Now if TARGET SOC is reached, it is almost when prices are high.
The search feature is a huge quality of life upgrade, great work team.
One minor note, searching for an email only seems to search the username, it would be useful to be able to search for domains as well (ie “@victronenergy.com”).

Hi @Ramatt - we’ve just pushed an upgrade to the search. Can you please try your query again and let us know if it’s now working as expected?
@guystewart - slight improvement, searching for “user@example.com” would now find that full address, but searching for “@example.com” or “example” wouldn’t find “user@example.com” which would be quite useful.
Happy to share some actual screenshots privately if that’s helpful (don’t want to dox anyone)

No need to see examples, your explanation is clear.
I also can’t guarantee we will be able to change the search pattern to match it, but I can see the use and we will try.
Nice improvements.
Still some strange thing…
Clicked on the Map and besides my (sole) installation, I’ve also seen an installation from west US…
See below.
Could it be related with the others problems I’ve mentioned here and not solved yet ?
Me too, I can see the “sibling” installation.
I never browsed that installation in order for some “breadcrumbs” traces to be left in the system and my installation is not public…
This has the same origin as the site(s) showing up in the table earlier: they have been shared through a site-share link. Could be through here on the community or someplace else.
We’ll apply the same filter as we do on the table, to ensure the map only has sites for which you are an assigned user.
