VRM - strange, inexistent device

Today, walking through VRM options, I’ve observed a strange thing…
I don’t know for how long it was there, but I suppose it has to do with something before the last 11 days.

Since the beginning, in the device list, I had and I still having the followings:

Going to widgets, now I have a NEW and INEXISTENT device.

If I enter it, I see only this:

And if I select the battery summary I’ve got this:

3

It could be a similar problem with the one mentioned by @evgeniy.labunskiy
Here: 3.50.13 - In VRM Advanced sections I see devices that never been in my installation

The same on BetaVRM, so I believe it’s some “garbage” in the database, related with my installation.

Please, developers, can you take a look?
Thank you!

Hi @alexpescaru
This can happen occasionally.

Unfortunately there is no way for the end user to do anything about it short of deleting the entire site and all system data completely and starting new.

Technically direct database access might be possible for one of the VRM system engineers, but that is not a service we offer.

Many years ago there was extremely malformed data getting reported (rarely) from AC PV inverters that made the system history unusable, and then there was some effort made to fix the issue (filter out nonsense numbers) and clean up the consequences.

Where there is no negative systemic effect aside from some clutter the solution is to just ignore it.

Hi Guy @guystewart

New devices…
This begin to be worrisome…

Hi,

I have created a ticket on our side, someone will look into this tomorrow morning.

Thank you!

Is it possible to have something to do with Copy current layout of Clone another installation layout options?
Someone to play with these and end up in my installation?

Andrii @podarok , now that we saw that info from our installations mixed somehow, do you have these devices in your installation?

Thank you!

No, I don’t have these
Also I wasn’t playing with copy/clone at all

@Barbara

Is there any news on this?

Now, beside the fact that I have two additional devices than a month ago, they are also doubled
So a total of (yet) 5 unknown devices…
I first though that it’s something strange with me and I get double vision…
I am either very unlucky or there is something very serious with your VRM database…

I was showing the system to a friend of mine who is thinking about switching sides and come to Victron and, as he is quite skilled technically, I’ve had hard time to explain the non-existent devices…

Hi @alexpescaru,

We are working on a solution to this (and all future occurrences).

It should take about a month before it is deployed to production. I will let you know when it’s available for a beta test.
