The system dashboard in the VictronConnect app has been rebuilt:
The system overview now shows your system in interactive elements.
Tap a card and its detail view opens from the bottom, with the full graphs. The grid card opens the import and export breakdown, the Dynamic ESS card opens a tabbed view with the energy, the schedule and the costs, and the status card shows the alarms that fired last.
That was my first thought as well. What’s the point in having a separate VRM app if everything that it has is also available in VictronConnect? However, as far as I see, the VRM app is basically a WebView app that just loads the contents of the VRM portal, so it does not need frequent updates. And the system dashboard in VictronConnect is not currently showing everything VRM does. For example, per-phase data like voltage, power, and current.
Dynamic ESS only shows data up to “Now” and nothing till the end of the day. To get it to display the full day, I need to tap on the “filter” button, then navigate to some other day and then back to today.
And the second problem is that since the “Energy price” tab is not fully visible, that row of headers needs to be scrolled to the left, but it is hard to do because the whole window wants to switch to the “Devices” view instead of scrolling the header line.
This is my first post here. Hello, and many thanks to this great forum.
In the new VictronConnect dashboard, the temperature overview window closes every time you select another sensor/temperature point. It would be nice if the temperature overview window could only be closed using the “X” in the top right-hand corner.
VRM portal will stay there for DIY users and fleet managers, but VictronConnect will slowly contain all features useful for ‘daily’ usage of your remote systems.
I really hope that VRM will never stop, as we use it all the time to analise these nice graphs on a computer screen and which are not available in the app.
Also, the community can show eachother such graphs to resolve issues together.
The first point we have fixed and will go live in a couple of hours, thank you!
The second point is a lot more tricky unfortunately in Android. We have a fix to prevent the swipe to devices on IOS, but Android has a different mechanism for swipes, so we need to look further into solving that for you. Will keep you posted on the resolution
… and when I look at the overview of the PV production, there are various strings or phases here. This distinction doesn’t appear in the detailed view?
It looks nice. Hopefully there is an expanded view option so it looks like the VRM app. I have to tap so many tings to get the data. Like each of my temperature sensors (have 3), and a tap to view the solar graph. So much tapping. Thank you for your continual effort.
Maybe have those 4 options as a drop-down list like the one that selects between Overview, Consumption, Solar and Grid. Actually, there’s a bug where this button does not disappear when switching from Overview to Dynamic ESS if the screen is wide.
In the Windows application, in a narrow view, I cannot even get to the 4th graph (Energy Price) as scrolling of that bar does not work. I need to make the window wider. There is no hint that the tab list is scrollable, and, as in my example, the Energy Price tab goes outside of the screen. So, again, a drop-down button would be the solution here as well. That would also make it consistent with the Overview screen
