Venus OS v3.70~35 available for public testing

v3.70~21 installed without new issues.

Older issue with workaround:

Boat page question:

  • What temperature is displayed in left lower corner? See picture below from the linked publication.
  • When using Node-RED to feed a measured temperature to both a virtual temperature sensor as well as all the available virtual motor temperature sensors, there is still no temperature displayed on the boat page.

Older issues known but agreed not to push for all to hard:

  • :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

v3.70~21 works for me.

Can I request a clean-up on these RV-C tank names some day, the “tank” and number aren’t needed.

On my boat that is the battery temperature, which is the logical conclusion as all info on the left relates to the battery, SOC, time to go and temperature.

That’s interesting. From what source: BMS, Multiplus, Smartshunt or other?
On our test system battery temperature is measured by the MultiPlus II - GX while uding a BMV-712 as battery monitor. I’ll test what happens with a temperature sensor on the BMV. Still, even if that shows up, I’d rather see the motor temperature because the motor de-rates quite a bit when hot under full power. (While battery temperature is hardly ever an issue and when it is it should set of an alarm)

Victron NG batteries with Lynx NG BMS.

When I switch the battery monitor setting from the Smartshunt to the MultiPlus the temperature pops up on the boat page indeed. I guess I need to implement a virtual battery if I want to take temperature from another source than the active battery monitor.

Just noticed v3.70~21 has the animations backwards on PC and laptop.

v3.70~23 also does the reverse flow inverting. This morning, both ~21 & ~23 flow normally on shore. I swear my Cerbo is possessed.

Kannst Du einmal dein Flow von NodeRed hochladen, wo Du die Steuerung des Überschuss steuerst? Danke!

Good day!

Short heads up: soon we’ll make a v3.64 beta version available for public testing.

Which builds on v3.63, currently the latest official version, and will add fixes and stability improvements to that.

During that time, v3.70 beta versions are not available.

All the best, Matthijs

Ps. Thank you for all reports, we’ll be looking into them and answering.

4 posts were split to a new topic: V3.64 beta over rides V3.70 beta and looses V3.70 beta features

v3.70~24 lost the center brief info.

My GX internal relay 1 is set to generator, but it also shows in the new switch panel for manual control.

Is there something changed how Dess acts in trade mode?
The own consumption behavior is different in 3.70~24, much better!

Mach ich gerne wenn die Version mit virtuellen Switches freigegeben ist, dann kann ich die node-red controls entfernen . Aktuell gibts keine 3.70 beta. Sonnige Grüße

Yes, I also noticed this and a new reactive strategy was added in v3.70~ for dess to allow self consumption, but it was in an earlier version than v3.70~24.

Good morning! v3.70~24 is now available for public testing - change log is detailed above.

Have a good weekend, Matthijs

Good morning. Some of the animations are backwards on my Cerbo.

I’m a bit confused. Last night I loaded v3.70~24. As noted above, the brief was missing the center battery info and the generator relay was shown in the switch panel.

This morning both items are fixed, without any changes to the firmware, and the relay panel looks completely different than last night.

How does that happen?
