So, per the installer of the original system, the configuration includes parameters that will pull power from the grid of the batteries fall below a particular level. Can someone please point me to where in the configurations this might be coded? Thanks.

How are you running it? Is it for grid backup peak shaving? If so it should have Ess loaded what device do you have and how is connected
Since a picture is worth a thousand words, here is the installation. On the roof are 30panels divided into 3 groups. While the system is connected to the grid, current settings do not feed into the grid and the grid only produces power should the system be in recycle or the batteries fall below x%.
Nice install but is the system running the house/providing backup if so ESS needs to be loaded onto the multiplus if a firmware update has been done on the multi this could have erased the ESS if it was there to begin with, I take it the batteries talk directly to the GX device? If your going to configure ESS on the multi you need an MK3 USB adapter to do the multi so you can get the assistant
