I am experiencing an issue with a Victron Multiplus II GX when selecting the grid code “Spain” or “Europe”
Whenever I apply these Grid codes, the unit fails to accept the grid and enters a loop (restarts / grid not accepted). As a consequence, ESS remains in state #3 (“ESS disabled because no valid grid code / grid not accepted”).
The system works normally with None Grid code, but then I lose the option to use the battery energy combined together with the grid energy. or use the Dynamic ESS. I is not activating the Batery to feed my installation. I can only activate the inverter manually.
To rule out external causes, I have tested the unit in a minimal configuration:
All downstream AC loads disconnected
Only AC-IN connected (L + N)
Protective Earth (PE) correctly connected to the Multiplus PE terminal and bonded to chassis
Sorry.. I meant: Protective Earth (PE) is connected to the Multiplus PE terminal and to the metal chassis, which is connected to the building grounding system.
Yes, they (L & N) are right, I have double checked and checked with the Multimeter.
No problem…
What are the voltage values from the mains?
Do you have a picture of the GX display… You can easily attach pictures here…
Try the German network code…
If the multi has already worked… the connection MUST be correct… sorry for asking…
Then you don’t need the “optimized with battery life” mode… you can set it to… without battery life… since it’s not a lead battery…
But you have a single-phase power supply in Spain, right?
ok, I change it.
Not yet. I get one in VE.Config when I change from Spain code to None code. related to ESS. just that.
Yes, I have all loads in AC-OUT1. AC-OUT2 is empty. Only thing before Multi is a Shelly EM meter.
