Hi, recently bought a xs 50a dc dc charger. My battery is an expedition plus 130a agm.
The first time I tried the xs the volts going to battery were 15v and skipping bulk charge. I contacted the dealer who I bought it from and was told to send back. Victron refunded it but gave no feedback.
I then bought another xs from same dealer and the first time I tried it the volts went up to 14.70 and it was on bulk charge. This was a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday I noticed that the battery was charging at 15v. The only way to get the voltage below 15v was to drop the amps down to 6.6.
Is there something wrong with my battery or is this normal.
Just checked connections and all ok. Checked with my multimeter and reading at battery is a steady 14.88 but Victron app is showing 15.
You don’t mention programming the settings to match what your battery requires. It’s covered in the manual.
5.3.1. Battery charge voltages too high
If the battery charge voltages are set too high, this will cause the batteries to overcharge.
Check if all the battery charge voltages (absorption and float) are set correctly.
The charge voltages have to match the recommended voltages as stated in the battery manufacturer's documentation.

Output voltage adjust range 10-17V
Can you share some pics or an exactly as-built diagram of the connections. For a small additional cost you can install a smartshunt on the battery and link it to the XS via VE smart networking. This will provide the XS with exact voltage and current at the battery terminals and give it the best chance of controlling correctly.
14C below reference of 25, lets say compensation is 20mV/degC so voltage will be raised by 14 x 20 = 0.28V so 14.98V. Check th e settings. Also check you have the right AGM settings, some AGM batteries want 14.7V, some 14.4V, if you have the lower voltage type you are overcharging at 14.7V.
