Voltage too high from IP 22 12V/30 charger

I recently installed a 300Ah LiFePo (Acconic from swissbatt24.ch) on my boat. It is charged from shore power using a Victron IP 22 12V/30.

The charger suddenly charges it to over 16V.

As soon as I disconnect it, the battery on the Victron Smart Shunt (IP65 500A/50mV) shows 14.2V again.

When charging with the alternator via my Orion-Tr Smart 12-12 V 30A, 360 W no problems at all.

I’m not sure if the charger might be broken or if my settings arre all wrong (more probable). I started with the default settings for lithium batteries.

Has anyone else experienced this? Or can someone be so kind to help me with the correct settings?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Attaching several screen shots and the data sheet of the battery.

Check all the joints and cables between the charger and the battery.
It looks to me as if charger is reading 13.78v via VE Smart Network at the battery from the shunt but is having to raise the output of the charger to 16.17v to get the voltage correct at the battery.
I have a similar difference with mine but it’s only 0.4v at 15amps

Hi,

I see that VE.Smart networking is enabled. Can you add a screenshot of the VE.Smart networking menu?
What other devices are in the VE.Smart network and are they all connected to the same battery bank? If not, you should create a VE.Smart network per battery bank.

Kind regards,

I changed the cables, the old ones might have been too thin. Will check now if that really solved the problem.
