No real time data in vrm dashboard

Hi, I have quite simple question, which (although Im an installer) I dont know the answer to. The realtime data in VRM dashboard on my personal installation stopped showing. It sometimes shows updated “a few seconds ago” or “1 minute ago”, but since yesterday it doesnt show “realtime”. The old GUI works, but the new GUI stopped working too. I tried restarting cerbo (softwarewise and also disconnecting power), restarting modem and switches, restarting ve bus (no idea why, but I have tried), checking enabled realtime data in VRM setup, updating to the last Venus version…but no luck with solving the issue. I think the whole issue started with one of the power outlets in the house which I accidentally shortcircuited during one experimental setup and caused blackout in the whole house for a while. Maybe it is just coincidence because everything else works normally now (except the realtime VRM dashboard and new GUI). The VRM id is c0619ab3c277 (just in case someone from Victron would be kind enough to look into it…). Does anyone have any idea what could be the cause of this? Thank you for your answers…

Is there any records queued?

Mine will fail to connect and queue up after a reboot, I believe it is because the Cerbo tries the Ethernet port instead of WiFi. My Ethernet port has a device out there for modbus, but no connection to the internet.

Hi, no stored records. And in my case cerbo is actually connected to the internet with ethernet port, so that should be ok…

I recall reading at some point that if the Cerbo processor load is high that it will stop realtime updates to reduce cpu load. I think it may do the same if the internet connection is found to be too slow. Has your power problem affected your router.

Found the bit re cpu load. May be an issue with systems running Node-RED, modifications or third party add ons.

Does your network have any firewall restrictions? GUI-V2 requires some different data ports open for TCP / UDP traffic than does GUI-V1. I have one client’s site where some packets are intercepted by a firewall, and GUI2 does not work (yet). I also had some problems on my own site accessing GUI2 on LAN, when the internet went down for a few days.

I would add that I have seen a few systems with this fault—we install SD cards on everything we ship, and just ejecting the SD card will make it live. I wonder if there’s perhaps a file corruption problem with the database.

I have a card installed too. I found that if I change (inc/dec) the IP address of the Ethernet port it will reconnect to VRM.
