I’m using the USB on my Multiplus II 3000 GX as a VE direct connection to an MPPT that suddenly stopped working. I won’t get any response using the USB port anymore and there are no other ports to try. Can I reset the USB or see if it’s faulty in any way? I see no fault code/message.
Is my Multiplus GX now not usable or is there a way to use other ports to connect the MPPT to the unit? My only VE Direct port is occupied by a shunt. Do I have to buy a Cerbo GX to extend the number of ports?
If you take the cover off, you will find another VE direct port on the top of the GX module that is used in the EasySolar model to connect the internal MPPT.
I have used this to connect a second MPPT device (plus another two via a USB hub)
Thank you! And if I need more connections I’m toast without the usb-port, right?
You should contact you (local) Victron seller from whom you bought the device.
Maybe you can get a new GX module.
As Matthias says, will probably be covered by your 5 year warranty via the supplier. You can raise a support ticket on the Victron website.

I am running two VE direct devices from the usb socket on a simple 2 way hub, but for more than that, you would probably need a powered usb hub
