Combination multiplus2 GX with MPPT 150/35

I’m completely stuck for the first time.

So I have a multiplus2 gx that has been running smoothly for six months with 4 pylontech us5000 batteries. Now I have added an MPPT 150/35 Bluetooth in parallel to the battery via a 30A fuse and a DC switch. I can update and read the MPPT via the Victron Connect app, so everything is working fine so far. Now I thought I could link the multiplus 2 gx and the mppt via Bluetooth so that they work neatly together. However, I can’t find how. Do you have information about that?

Thank you in advance for your response.

You cant link them with bluetooth, only with a ve direct cable

just realised that. Is working now. Thanks anyway.

did you connect with simple VE.Direct cable ? my victron reseller told me that the multiplus GX VE.Direct port can’t be used to connect a BlueSolar MPPT 100/20 and I must connect it to the USB port with a VE.Direct to USB cable !! is he wrong ?
Thanks for your answer

@kursk
Ve direct to vedirect will work connection R . The ve to usb will also work connection O

thanks ! I’m afraid it means my reseller is not an expert, and I’m glad to get many interesting information in this forum

There is so much in the victron eco system, you can drown in information. If they are new guys it takes a while to get up to speed. And experience.
You are right this forum is a great resource.

They are twice the price but are useful. If you want to build another system, you can put the Venus OS on an RPI and use that cable to connect a ve direct device like a solar controller or a shunt, inverter.

yes, the vedirect-usb cable is very useful, and I’ve understood I’ll need it if I want to connect a second vedirect device to my multiplus GX in the future. My project include only one device : vedirect connection is the simplest way. I will certainly experiment Venus OS on an RPI later, but my first goal is to buy, install, and run my first PV plant
