MP2 grid input shows zero

I’ve finally been able to connect to grid for grid charging, I’ve been off-grid since I installed this mp2. Now I’m finally grid connected, and charging, but the mp2 is not seeing the grid charge?

Why does this show grid: 0W? I am charging 1,200 watts?

What clamp or grid meter are you using?

Internal AC power meter failed in the Multiplus but you have never been on shorepower to know.

I also recall a case like this where the internal meter is on a separate daughter board with a ribbon cable ans removing and refitting the ribbon cable got the power meter back

Here is a link to an issue on older models with a 3.5mm phono jack for an external current meter that can cause issues and a link to an external sire with the ribbon cable issue.

Hmm.. Not good. I was hoping there was a setting somewhere I’ve missed.

The easy one to check and try to sort is if you have the type with the 3.5mm phono jack.

This Multiplus 2 is a newer one, it doesn’t have the Phono jack. Instead it has a loop with a 3-pin phoenix connector

I did open a support ticket with my vendor. (current connected) After 5 days with no resolution I opened up the unit, removed the current-sense phoenix connector, tested for continuity and it failed. I re-seated the loop in the phoenix connector, ensured continuity, reinstalled it, and now I see grid current. The vendor never suggested any of this.

I continue to be confused how Victron continues to be successful with this support model. I can’t think of any other product that has a support experience as bad as this.
