GX Not Showing AC Values When on Shore

While I am no professional, this is my third system and has me stumped.

Components:

  • Cerbo GX
  • SmartShunt
  • Pair of SmartSolar controllers
  • MultiPlus-II 12/3000/120
  • Renogy drop-in batteries, pair

This is a 12V system. All firmwares are up to date and the MultiPlus was thus reset and reconfigured using VictronConnect.

As the following screenshots show, the GX shows zeros for AC input and output when the shore is connected, but shows correct AC output when shore is disconnected. And what is the green arrow?

In addition, the power and current values shown in the device in the GX appear to reflect the DC output of the charger, rather than the AC output:

[More to come once I can post more screenshots!]

Troubleshooting:

  1. Changed VE.bus Cat5 cable and ports, checked that using correct port
  2. Rebooted MultiPlus-II
  3. Redetected VE.bus
  4. Rebooted Cerbo GX

Anyone have some input on where to go from here?

The MultiPlus is otherwise visible by the GX:

I have configured the MultiPlus voltage parameters using the Renogy data sheet as well as enabled and configured DVCC:

Thanks for the quick response Matthias!

My unit seems to have a barrel connector in place of the 3 position terminal block, am I crazy?

I checked it against the specific manual, to be certain:

I did find that the datasheet PDF has an image that matches what I am seeing:

That’s the old version.
Switch off the unit an plug and unplug a normal 3,5mm “headphone” jack a few times.

Wow. I don’t know what to say, but that worked. I didn’t have that size, but just sticking a smaller diameter plug into it loosely a couple times seems to have corrected the issue.

Should I be looking to warranty this unit anyway, just in case? (Bought new last week.)

Thanks again for your help.

No need to do that.
Usually that only happens once and should be solved now.
It’s a known issue and that’s why newer units have the 3-pole plug.
