Maximum length of cable from GX70 to cerbo GX

Hi All,
I couldn’t find previous posts about this so I’m sure I just didn’t search correctly!

I am installing Victron equipment in my 5th wheel front bay.
I want to install the GX 70 screen in a cabinet located in the center of the trailer which would make the distance from the cerbo GX to the GX 70 screen in the 25 to 30’ range.
I have read there are usually issues when doing this but did see any great ways to make it work like it was within the 6’ range of the existing cable.
Looking for recommendations please !

GX Touch 50/70 Display for Cerbo GX - cable extension

Is it possible to extend the 6’ cable coming out of the display? The display cable is somewhat special in that it has a split HDMI and USB connection. Can I just plug in an HDMI cable extender into the HDMI cable and USB cable extender in to the USB connector and run them both to the Cerbo GX? I want to lengthen the distance between the display and Cerbo GX to about 15 feet. Thanks!

New install with long distance cables

I’m doing a replacement install on a 40ft motorhome with Multiplus II, Digital Multi, Solar Controller, Lynx, Cerbo, etc. The GX50 and Multicontrol will be about 30 feet from the core components which are in a basement compartment. My question is this: Is it better to run a 30ft HDMI extension cable and mount the Cerbo Control GX in the compartment close to the “core” components, or is it better to mount the Cerbo near the GX50 and run 30ft VE.Direct, VE. Bus and VE.CAN cables from the core c…
