Hi,iIt seems that after updating to Venus OS 3.75, my Ekrano is triggering the exact error that the changelog claims to have fixed.
After disconnecting and reconnecting the AC input power, the system draws power from the grid despite the battery being full and there being sufficient sunlight. This error did not occur with firmware 3.72. Unfortunately, rolling back to 3.72 did not resolve the issue.
The fix in question is: • Fix VE.Bus ESS systems sometimes remaining in bypass when combined with an external transfer switch (S99 firmware).
Energy Meter is Victron VM-3P75CT, connected using CAN
The error occurred after the update to version 3.75 and is therefore linked to the aforementioned fix, as the described error behavior matches mine exactly.
Communication betwenn Erkano/BMS/Energy meter looks fine, all data is shown in the Ekrano.
There is no connection in terms of content between the firmware update and the deactivation of the power supply.
System is sometimes used in offgrid mode. The grid is therefore manually connected or disconnected as required.
The checklist.
Does a VE bus restart vhange anything?
Initiating another breaker connect and disconnect doesn’t change things? And or reboot of the Ekrano. (If you haven’t retried that)
I have used it quite a few times rather than switch off the inverters. I have only had one system where the power went out but it returned a second or so later.
It tends to restart the Multi’s, so power output will be cut for a moment, yes.
Unrelated:
I’m waiting for Victron to release a software feature that closes the AC relays from AC In to AC Out while keeping the DC part of the Multi completely powered off.
This would mean a user-selectable bypass mode while the rest of the Multi restarts.
