Has anyone else noticed ESS problem with firmware 3.66. I have Multiplus 2 GX and it work fine with firmware 3.62. I updated firmware to 3.66 and then ESS not work anymore. DESS works still like before. All settings was fine, but inverter never discharged in ESS mode with this firmware. I installed firmware 3.62 again and everything work well again. Am I only one who have issue like this? What could be reason about that?
Dear @Markok
I think I might be facing the same type of issue on my installation.
After updating to GX 3.66 (and Multi firmware 510), my 3-phase ESS system started behaving incorrectly:
L2 and L3 stay in import / pass-through, even though CT readings, voltages, Assistants, BMS (Pylontech US3000C), and Dynamic Cut-Off values are all correct.
No VE.Bus error is shown, and the system only works normally again if I remove all Assistants.
What’s interesting is that I have a second installation with the same hardware and the same Assistants, but still running older firmware (502) — and that one works perfectly.
So this looks very similar to what is described here, and it makes me suspect something in the ESS logic of 3.66.
Yesterday I tried a downgrade to 3.51, but the issue still persists (2 of 3 inverters in pass-through mode).
After that I had several difficulties updating back to 3.66 again (Error during checking FW, unable upgrade… etc.). I noticed that some settings were corrupted (especially the Ethernet configuration), and after correcting those values I was able to return to 3.66 successfully — but the situation described above still remains unchanged.
I will try a full clean reconfiguration of the 3-phase setup using the MK3 device at the beginning of this week and report back.
