Consuel + three-phase 3 × MultiPlus-II 5000: user experiences and certificates

Hello everyone,

I am preparing the Consuel application for a photovoltaic installation with storage, and I have come up against a question that the documentation does not resolve. I am raising it here, along with two specific requests.

My configuration:

3 × MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50 in three-phase

Enedis connection

Low Voltage.

WHAT CONSUEL REQUIRES, AND WHAT I FOUND

Consuel requires the certificate of conformity for the disconnection device, in French, and “relating to the declared inverter”. I found and downloaded the following documents from the Victron website:

- “Certificate ESS EN 50549-10 - MultiPlus-II (GX) 24-48- 3, 4k5, 5 & 6k5V (French)” - “Certificate ESS UTE C15-712-1 - All MultiPlus-II (GX) 3k & 5k”

Both cover the 48/5000/70-50 and are in French. However, both specify “single-phase parallel connection to the distribution network”, and neither mentions the possibility of assembling several units into a three-phase system.

I eventually found the answer in the foreign-language versions: page 3 of the VDE-AR-N 4105 certificate (German) states that several single-phase inverters can be used to build a three-phase system, and the Danish certificate says the same. Three-phase configuration is therefore indeed предусмотрed by the manufacturer.

MY QUESTION

Has anyone here had a three-phase system consisting of 3 × MultiPlus-II 5000 units approved by Consuel? How did you present it? Did you provide anything other than the individual certificates, or was that sufficient?

I would be interested in any concrete first-hand experience, including refusals and what made it possible to resolve them. I saw that a German thread deals with the same question, but it says nothing about the French case.

TWO REQUESTS I AM MAKING HERE

1. Add a mention of three-phase configuration to the French certificates

The wording already exists in the German and Danish versions. It would simply need to be included in

the French version of EN 50549-10 and/or UTE C15-712-1, which would save every French installer from having to produce a document in German in front of an inspector.

2. Extend the “three-phase configuration” certificate to the 3k/5k range

Victron publishes dedicated three-phase configuration certificates for the 8, 10 and 15 kVA models (Belgium, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom, Denmark and Poland). There are none for the 3k/4k5/5k/6k5 range — the reason being, if I have understood correctly, that the larger models require an external transfer relay, whereas the 3k/5k models do not.

This certificate would give installers a single, unambiguous document, exactly what a certification body requires.

To be clear, I am not blocked: I have everything I need to submit the application. But these two documents would make life easier for everyone in the same situation.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.
