Hello,
I have an issue with one of my clients. He has 2 US2000 batteries (not the US2000C) and a Mulitplus II GX device. He connected them with the type B cable VE CAN to Can Bus BMS, I checked the sens, it’s okay. The port used in the Multiplus GX is the BMS Can.
On his VRM, we can see the state of charge of the storage but in the list of the devices, there is no battery. I changed the communication rate, but it doesn’t change anything, the batteries remain invisible. Note that the batteries works normally.
Do you have an idea why I can’t see the batteries in the devices and what should I do ?
Thanks in advance
Did you put the VE.Can terminator into the second VE.Can port of the GX?
Since the Multiplus GX has both BMS Can and VE.Can plugs, it was plug in the first BMS Can, the second has the terminator, and there is nothing in the VE.Can ports.
The SOC obtained is from the MP. Ensure the speed it set to 500kbits/s and the as a last resort ensure the cable is not reversed.
It’s already done, the speed is at 500kbit/s and it’s plug in the right sens. This is not the source of the problem
I trust you already have also taken steps to test the batteries independently to rule out a faulty ports, update battery firmware etc. so cannot be of much help beyond that. Worth checking if there is any activity on the port GX by going into port status.
Then, check the dip switches on the batteries. When using no LV Hub, they should remain in their default position, so the BMS is getting can id 000.
Best would be to go through this guide, also make sure you used the correct port on the pylontechs:
Note the guide sometimes takes different advices for the 2000 and the 2000-C.
Also verify the minimum requirements for versions and firmware versions.
