I’m using a Victron VE.CAN to BMS CAN cable (type A) to connect them. As recommended in the manual, I’ve changed the VE.CAN port profile to CAN-bus BMS (500 kbit/s). However, the system isn’t recognizing the batteries as connected device.
I tried using a tester to check if the cable is working properly, but no LED lights came on. Could this indicate a defective cable?
The cable turned out to be fine; the issue was with my cheap tester, which doesn’t work with this specific pin configuration. The real problem, however, was selecting VE.Can & CAN-bus BMS (250 kbps) instead of CAN-bus BMS LV (500 kbps). Switching to the BMS LV option resolved the issue.
I had actually expected this to be the first troubleshooting step. Perhaps the cable was one without a shield … then the simple measuring devices lack the reference wire for measuring …
‘as is so often the case, the fault lies between the ears’
But it’s nice that it works
Hello! I have the same problem, that there is no connection between the multiplus and the batterys. Can you elaborate a bit more how to change these settings? That would be great! Thanks in advance!
Direct connection between Pylontech and Multi Plus didnt work … This is a Multi with GX …
Do you have a Multi Plus 2 with or without GX Device ?
What else have you configured and connected in your System ?
