How can I change back to installer access via VRM on a cerbo GX?
I like the new UI and especially the ability to lock the settings. I am running a cerbo GX on a boat that is in charter. Once the access level is set to user I perviously could only change back reverting to the old UI. Now the settings have changed and i cannot access any settings on the VRM.
How can I change back to installer setting being an administrator of the system on VRM?
Can I execute this through VRM or do I need to physically be near the system and log in via bluetooth?
I hope this is possible, so I can work on the NEMEA 2000 integration, connect sensors etc. and after this set the system to a user level while being in charter. Being able to set an own password would be nice. For now I had to use the general installer password which should not be known to general users.
Thank you for your answer. I understand that this should be the way, but in the current UI 3.60 I get the information âsettings locked for access levelâ. I cannot go back to installer because it is not possible to enter the password.
The version 3.60 is a beta version of the UI software. I hope this will be fixed in a new version.
Well now, your post prompted me to check this out first and I got locked out as also on V3.60. This is a nasty bug. I have reported it on hete also in other channels. See my bug report for how I got back to user and installer. You may also be able to connect to classic ui on wifi if your are local. I could not as I am remote.
I am sorry I troubled you into this, but at least you have found a way to switch back to installer level. I am remote from the boat and cannot access from here.
I have read your bug report. A note: I actually can install a new firmware on the cerbo GX through VRM by checking for updates in the DEVICE LIST.
I hope there will be an update fixing this problem in the next days/weeks so I can enter the password again to change back to installer. Thanks for looking into this.
I had not thought of an update through VRM from the Devices menu, that is a good idea and gives people a way out when the bug gets fixed in the next version of V3.60.
In my case I am swapping my batteries from AGM with a BMV-702 to Victron Smart lithium NG and Lynx NG BMS tomorrow so I had a little moment of panic until I sorted the fix because I would have been stopped in my tracks.
