Orion TR Smart 24/12 with 12v Alternator

Hello, i have inherited an Orion TR Smart Non Isolated 24/12 30 from another project and was wondering if it would be possible to use on a 12v supplied system rather than 24v? Could the input threshold be set lower or would it involve having to step up the 12v supply? Many thanks!

Thanks Matthias, i guess its time to track down an appropriate step up transformer or 12v version!
