I’m trying to use the Orion Smart Charger 12/12 18A to charge Battery OUT from Battery IN. No vehicle involved. All I get is the message “Off – Charge is disabled”. I follow these steps which I thought were per manual.
1. 1. Remote Pin L to Pin H open via switch to disable charging.
2. 2. Battery IN connected which also applies +13.6V to Pin L to activate “Engine Detection Override”
3. 3. Connect Bluetooth and check settings. Msg “Off – Charge is disabled due to: Remote input inactive” Which is OK see 1.
4. 4. Connect Battery OUT.
5. 5. Close remote Pin L to Pin H via switch to enable charging. Msg “Off – Charge is disabled”. “Input 13.6V, Output 12.5V.” Which is Not OK
Battery IN Fusion LiFePo 40AH reads 13.6V
Battery OUT Odyssey PC680 16AH reads 12.5V

Absorption Voltage 14.6V
Float Voltage 13.6V
Bulk Time Limit 3Hr
Adaptive Absorption time OFF
Engine Shutdown Detection OFF
Input Lockout 11.0V
Restart 12.0V
Is something missing in the connections or settings? Any help appreciated.
