Balancer working?

I have installed a Balancer on my 4 batteries, 2 x 2 12V batteries to 24V. The balancer is connetced as it should as I see it. However there is no light on the balancer, and the difference is increasing.

The difference is increasing. The datasheet says;

The Solution: battery balancing The Battery Balancer equalizes the state of charge of two series connected 12V batteries, or of several parallel strings of series connected batteries. When the charge voltage of a 24V battery system increases to more than 27,3V, the Battery Balancer will turn on and compare the voltage over the two series connected batteries. The Battery Balancer will draw a current of up to 0,7A from the battery (or parallel connected batteries) with the highest voltage. The resulting charge current differential will ensure that all batteries will converge to the same state of charge.

Does the sentecne in bold means "start working", or is it so that the balancer will not have any light, even standby light, before it starts balancing?

Hi, Yes the balancer only turns on when the voltage is above this threshold.

Pop your charger on and it should activate. the lights will come on,

Considering your at rest your deviation is quite big already. (I only see a variation that big when charging very fast)

Have you got sufficient inter battery connections?

I have cabled as this and used 70mm2 all over. But I will re-check all connections.

Monitored the Vctron VRM and in the afternoon the difference became 6% and highest voltage 28,8V. Went back to my boat and found that the balancer was activated.

My Victron Skylla TG battery charger had a little bit buzzing sound. Turned the charger off and the difference betwen the lowest and highest felled down to 0,9%.

What is the first that comes in mind I have done wrong?

The battery bank is stabile around 0,8% most of the day, but gets a peak now and then.

Does it looks normal?

I have 4 x 215ah batteries in a 24V configuartion connected as shown on the post above.
