Use Load output backwards for small wind turbine?

Can I attach a small wind turbine around the 25 to 50 W mark to the load output of a say 100/20 so it switches off at 28.8 V and protects the batteries from overcharging if I am asleep during a storm?

I seem to think that during fiddling by accident I charged the batteries backwards through the load output before. That was on a 75 15 though

Hi,

you shouldn't do that. The Load Output is only for connecting loads to the charger.

In case of storm you wouldn't have any resistance on your turbine and it may suffer damage from high speeds. You would have to implement some storm brake as discussed in other threads on this community.
