BVM 712 not reading correctly

I just connected a bmv-712 to my solar system checked the wiring twice to the schematic put my batteries into equalization so I had to turn off the inverter as it doesn’t like the higher voltages. So no load on the batteries The bmv was saying 7 amps going in but the controller said 33 amps going in. I know this is right as the batteries were gasing off. Did I not set a parameter correctly

Perhaps the zero current calibration is off.
First make sure that zero current is flowing through the shunt, disconnect all from the Load / Charge terminal of the shunt.
Current on the BMV should read 0A. If not go to option 9 in settings menu of the device to set it to 0A. Of course, this can be done from the Victronconnect App also. Settings -> Battery settings, Zero current calibration at the bottom of the page.
