Smartphone and Tablet compatibility to Victron Smart Devices

I use a Windows phone and Surface tablet, I want to connect to my BMV 712 Smart, please help.

Please see the compatibility notes for Victron Connect here in the manual for the latest up-to-date information.

Unfortunately, as of today the pertinent part for you is:

3.1 Windows PC

Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10

  • (Downloads for VictronConnect for users of Windows XP / Vista are still available in archive - but unsupported.)

On Windows, VictronConnect cannot use Bluetooth Smart to connect to a product. Therefore the only way to connect a Windows computer to a product is to use the VE.Direct to USB interface.

This limitation is being worked on. We would also like to have a consistent experience across platforms.
