I have asked the battery dealer & 14.4v charging is appropriate but I just want to confirm this charger will charge an AGM battery for it doesn't have an AGM mode but does have a 'normal 14.4v' mode so I am hoping I can use this?

Yes, this should work fine. I don't think the selectable modes are particularly well named, perhaps a little Victron-centric, and consequently confusing. I use a gel preset for my floodeds, but it does what I want.
And you can tweak the presets to personal preference. It will change it's name to 'user defined' or something if you do that. But will work for you..
