C10 or C20 setting in Victron connect

Hi, what battery settings are needed for the Victron connect (Multiplus 800). Should I put a C10 or C20 value?

Hi @Jess

The standard Victron algorithms that might use that would expect C20. But it's not cast-in-stone, and you could use whatever gives you the results you prefer.

Batt temperature affects it a lot too, but it might depend what you're doing with the response from that setting, and whether it gets temp compensated or not.

The rate is re the battery not the device. How many ah is you bat at the 10c or 20c rate?

Pb batt capacity is temp influenced. A BMV can compensate for that, but a Multi doesn't (that I'm aware of). That's why it's a soft setting, and if you lived about the Arctic circle, then you might choose to use a lower capacity setting to reflect the practical conditions.
