SSH acces denied issue Cerbo GX s

I tried following tutorials on installation of Louis Dbus-serialbattery via SSH.

The problem I experience is nog getting acces to the GX device (Cerbo GX s)
Both laptop and cerbo are connected to the same WLAN netwerk.
I enabled superuser in Venus
I entered a root password
I tried to login to the local Cerbo IP adress via PuTTY, after entering the password it keeps responding 'Acces denied'.

Any suggestions what I'm doing wrong here?

Have you enabled SSH on LAN?

Hi Derrick, yes I did.

Is it normal that you can't see what your typing in PuTTY?

Yes when typing passwords you will not see any input.

Try setting the password again in the cerbo and make sure you tick the '✓' box and not the 'X' box or it won't save. Also I believe the password is case sensitive so make sure caps lock isn't on on the PC you are using to access SSH.

Look in settings>wifi>"connected ssid">IP address and verify you are using the correct IP address.

Strangely that's what I did but it doesn't make any difference. I also tried the command prompt in Windows with the same result.
