Pylontech help

Please bear with me as I am new to this.

We have been off grid for 18 months with 4 Pylontech US3000C batteries connected to a master power inverter but have now bought a Victron multiplus 2 inverter with cerbo gx and an MPPT charge controller. We’ve wired it up according to the Victron website diagrams but apparently we still need two more communication cables so it’s not “live” yet.

I have read and read and read through the Victron website but I’m still confused and hoping someone here can advise. If we turn it all on, do I then configure it through the Victron connect app? I have the app but until everything’s turned on I can’t see anything on it. And if that’s the case, how do I do it? What should the settings be? There doesn’t seem to be a guide for a complete idiot like me. I tried speaking to the technician from where we bought the batteries originally but he just directed me to the Victron website and told me it’s complicated.

Also there seem to be different ways of connecting the batteries to each other, parallel or curvy. We’ve always had them curvy but now not so sure!

Any help for an idiot would be so very much appreciated, especially if someone could explain how to configure it all as if they were talking to a 3 year old

https://professional.victronenergy.com/ - online training.

You will need a mk3 usb adapter and veconfigure.

I would suggest you get a professional to help you, that is expensive gear, easily damaged through inexperience.
