SOC Lights on Pylon US5000 / Victron MP 2 48/3000

IMG_2554.MOVHi all

Cerbo GX, Multiplus 2 48/3000, 2 * US5000

Just noticed something on my Pylon US5000 batteries

I have 2 of them and have just noticed the SOC lights keep going out altogether and a few seconds later coming back on

I've attached a quick video which shows the lights on the bottom battery going out for a few seconds, sometimes they are off for longer, happens to both batteries

Batteries just approaching 100% SOC when I noticed, no errors or alarm lights

Is this normal, as I haven't noticed it before?

Thanks

Simon

This is normal behaviour when the batteries are "inactive" and in standby. That is, they are waiting for discharge or to be charged. As the are full, you'd be supplying your loads from solar or the grid and so as your batteries are not doing anything, they stay in that state and switch their lights off.
