ESS Mode 3 not discharging battery

I have a MultiPlus 2 GX v500 with nanopi v2.92

I am trying to do this with a script on the GX: (With the required loop)

dbus -y com.victronenergy.settings /Settings/CGwacs/Hub4Mode SetValue 3

dbus -y com.victronenergy.vebus.ttyS3 /Hub4/DisableCharge SetValue 0

dbus -y com.victronenergy.vebus.ttyS3 /Hub4/DisableFeedIn SetValue 1

dbus -y com.victronenergy.vebus.ttyS3 /Hub4/L1/AcPowerSetpoint SetValue 50

The ESS mode 2 & 3 Doc section 3.4 states that if the AC output is higher than the setpoint the battery will be discharged with the difference. However, this doesn't happen. The AC input just tracks the AC output as if the system is stuck in passthru, but the remote console tells me "Ext. Control" NOT passthru.

What am I missing?
