Hello, Ive got a question about a firmware update.

My multiplus is running at version 2610158.VFD. So i made a connection with the MK3-USB, search at the dropbox files for the right file but i coudn't find the right one. The lowest one witch i could find is the 2610159.vff, Can i use this one instead?

Look for xxxx490 firmware. This is the latest version.

Upgrade at your own risk.

Thanx, found it.

So now iv'e got the next issue, it says error connection by Connect part 2.

VE Flash.png

This is wat i tried.

  1. Found out that the com port is COM3.
  2. Runned the software on administration level
  3. Tried other USB ports,
  4. Tried the 2nd RJ-45 on the multi
  5. Put the MK3-USB into the GX device.
  6. Tried with and without the blue RJ-45 end plugs

None of these worked out. but wen i put the network cable directly from the multi to the gx device, it detects it in a few seconds.

And when i put the MK3-USB with the network cable into the usb port of the GX device it won't see it.

So can it be that my MK3-USB is broken?

Put the MK3-USB into the GX device.

Disconnect the GX device from Multiplus.

Only connect the MK3-USB interface to the Multiplus (and to a PC).

Tried with and without the blue RJ-45 end plugs

Those are to terminate VE.CAN bus. Not for VE.Bus.

You can update the firmware with Victron Connect (from a PC), too. Not sure if that works when you have such an old firmware, though. Worth a try, anyway.

The MK3-USB is new? It might need updating, too.

Don't forget to first save your Multiplus configuration settings, before the firmware update. The settings are lost when you update the firmware. Use VEConfigure 3 software for this.

Hi seb71,

Thanks for the answer.

I figure it out.

Connected the mk3 into my pc running VEFlash. Still the same error.

So i tried it with the VictronConnect app in my PC, with succes. Its now updated to version v490.
