Your battery decided? So i guess youve setup some minimal SOC that then turns on the MP? If it can switch to passthrough, then some mains voltage needs to be present
Do you have a schematic of the system? This sounds to me like you have some grounding issue. The smaller MPPTs are not isolated, both battery and PV negative are common. Battery negative is usually also grounded, same for the incoming neutral of the mains voltage and the MP housing. There could some rouge current flowing trough the DC systems negative if things are not done properly, but thats very dependent on the situation

Please excuse this question; I’m not trying to talk down to you. Did you connect the MultiPlus to the load output of the MPPT? I hope not. As @chigru suggested, send us your wiring diagram and we’ll be able to help further. If you don’t have a schematic, then you should make one. That’s a great way to find errors before making any connections.
The other thing is are the solar panels in series or parallel, the 100/20 has a 20A input limit per the datasheet and if your panels are in parallel then you are very close to that limit You can also check it in the Victron MPPT Calculator. I do not know how that could have caused the failure, but you need to make sure your install is designed right.
When you are in the reply box there should be an icon with a bar at the bottom and an up arrow, this is for uploading files. On different devices it appears slightly different.
