VRM xlsx downloads only 5 days at a time now possible

I have been doing a monthly xlsx download for years now and now this month it reports that my system has too many sensors and consequently the file size is too large to process. Last month when I did the Oct downloads the file size was 45 MB . Now I can only manage a 5 day download file which is approx 8 MB in size . Can one please either allow large file size downloads or let user decide datafields to be downloaded. It becomes very time consuming to patch together a monthly file as the number of columns varies as the VRM sometimes adds beta columns. I do not has dynamic ess running yet there are several columns wasted on this .

Hello,I have downloaded data from Victron from the VRM advanced screen for the last 4 years, by month, as an XLS file. I was NOT able to download November 2024 data, with an error saying to select a shorter time period. Experimenting I was able to download data for 3-days at a time, so I now have 10 XLS files. When I tried to join them, the header information for the data set suddenly changed around Nov 15-16; so the data sets are no longer the same before and after. Maybe the Victron database is corrupt? But, I don’t see any info or notice about this. And not being able to download 30 days of data, when it was worked fine for the last 47 months seems odd as well?
Can anyone confirm there is a problem downloading November’s dataset as a whole?

Apologies, the only thing that can be done to get your data right now is to reduce the time frame you are requesting and manually process it on your end to combine the files to get the full month (or whatever want).

As mentioned above this is related to back end processing load capacity. We are close to completing the major back end change that should address this, however there is no timeframe known right now.

I am hoping that it is done by end of January 2025, but that has no bearing or basis in reality, it is not a promise and there may be delays. It will not be released until the VRM database team is ready.

[begin rant] Arrrgh… I’d just like to download last month’s data for my one Multiplus + BMV, like I have done without problem for the past 7 years… [end rant]

Info from Victron

We are in the middle of a framework upgrade to improve performance of VRM’s databases. After that upgrade is done, we can increase the limit on download ranges again.

Do you have a rough idea how long the framework upgrade will take? Are we talking weeks of months?

I have been running my solar powers system (Fronius, Victron Quattro, CERBO GX) since May 2023 and each month I have successfully downloaded a complete data set from the previous month. I am now trying to do exactly the same for November 2024 by going to Advanced on the VRM Portal page, selecting Previous Month as the time frame and then when all has finished loading I initiate an .xls download. A few minutes later I get an email saying the file was too large and I should reduce the timeframe or reduce the number od data points. At this time I went through the exercise of reducing the timeframe down (eventually) to 1 day only and I still get the same error message. This is the first time in over 18 months of use that I have been unable to download data. HELP PLEASE!

The data downloads should run as they used to again. See VRM release notes 08-01-2025
