VRM portal Solar Charger detail section is not updating

After the new release 10/9/2024 the VRM portal solar charger detail section is not updating in a usable timeframe, can it be adjusted to every 15 second instead of every 60 +/- second please

@Sharpidea You can enable realtime in settings>general on VRM and see that works for you.

I have realtime turned on already, Victron changed the update interval to about 60 seconds for the soler charger detail section on their last VRM update, It was about 5 - 10 seconds before the update, It would be nice to get back to at most a 15 second interval or faster please.

Not sure where you get this from and neither do I see evidence of it on my installations. Even one I just checked 6000 miles away  Under certain conditions it will automatically be disabled e.g. if a GX device is “overloaded”. Are you on VRM Beta otherwise I suspect it is something at you end.

Well, I’m timing the update period on the VRM portal I’m viewing and before the update on the 9th it was near real time and now it’s updating at an interval very close to 60 seconds, I have 4 solar 250/100 chargers in my system, also the GX monitor is updating at near real time so as far as my system in concerned it’s collection the data at the intervals close to real time but the VRM portal is not displaying it is the same time intervals. I also have all the latest updates applied to all components in my system. 2) Multiplus 12/3000 in parallel with a autotransformer to product balanced 240 split phase, 4) 250/100 solar chargers, and 2 lynx 1000 for even and cool power distribution through the system, 1600 AH for batteries.
If you or anyone has an idea where I should look to get back to near real time updates for the charger details on the VRM portal it would be nice. I wonder if someone from Victron could comment?

I wanted to add: the GX log interval is set to 60 seconds (this is the lowest interval allowed) and logging was enabled, I just turned it off and it made no difference,. I also want to clarify that it’s only happening on the PV Charger section, the sum total is updating is near real time but the individual charger detail section below it is updating in the 60 second interval now and before the VRM update it was updating near real time, also all the other detail sections are updating in near real time.

Update: So in working with this issue I have found that now the updates to the PV Charger details is based on the logging interval set in the GX VRM Logging, now even when real-time updates is turned on for the VRM portal installation instance. In the past when you turned on the real time updates for the installation instance in the VRM portal is over-road the GX VRM logging interval and did real time updates in this section.
I determined this by changing the GX logging interval from the lowest setting (60 seconds) to 5 minutes and sure enough it honored the 5 minute update interval even with the VRM portal /setting/general - real-time setting turned on.

I delved a bit deeper and I can see the total PV only updated in realtime and not the individual devices in a system with e.g. 2 x 250/100 or similar. In a system with one it works realtime as well as for 450/xxx where all trackers are transmitted in realtime. If I need to see the individual mppts in realtime I can use rconsole, but suspect with large systems and multiple mppts things will simply get far to busy.

Well before the 10/9 update to VRM my system was real time with 4 solar chargers on-line and now it has changes to the logging interval, it would be nice if Victron could get back to real-time meaning something faster than 60+ second intervals - like 15 seconds would be way better!

FYI - the data from the GX is getting to the VRM portal backend as the summery information is being calculated in a near real-time interval, the only issue is the VRM detail data is not being updates on the VRM display side of the VRM system. this may save a little processing time for the portal but taking it from honoring the real-time and going to the logging interval parameter is a sad compromise for the VRM portal data end user experience, a compromise would be to make the Real-Time setting be a 15 seconds interval not the GX logging interval.
I actually think this this is a bug in the VRM update and the change is a simple oversight not to honor the real-time setting for the PV Charging detail data only.

Hi all, this was a bug in VRM indeed; fixed per just now.

Thank you for your reports!

Hi, is there something I need to do to my system? Realtime reporting stopped at 2am (french time) today, but the system status reports as OK. As I am remote, I feel a deep need to be able to look at data occasioanlly
Thanks for your help
