Strange VRM behavior: inexistent consumption and installations mix

Today was reviewing the consumption in the last months…
I was surprised to see a grid consumption when I am in an off-grid manner.
Meaning the Multi RS is grid connected, but with the input relay disconnected, so just monitoring the grid.
And was not a small consumption, almost 50kW !!!
See below at 2100 hours… What could it be?

And another MUCH STRANGER THING…
I wanted to see if the above consumption is reflected in the production report…

I have only one installation.
And when I tried to download the production report from the main page, surprise, surprise…
I also have Andrii @podarok production report on my report !!!
Also my timezone is NOT Moscow zone…

Guys… What’s happening with the VRM ?

PS: Andrii, now we are blood brothers, by the will of Victron…

There have been a few back end changes. Maybe there has been a ripple in the system. :woman_facepalming:

Hi,

Could you try this again? I just generated the report impersonating you, and for me the one site shows and the correct timezone.

Also, did you have access to Andrii’s site at any point of time? Considering you know it’s his site?

The same…
Why the Timezone selection? What’s its purpose? Can’t be taken from the installation settings?
Also tried GMT timezone and the same…

I know the name because he posted during time links to his installation for us to see his issues…
And, yes, I once accessed his installation. But this is a vulnerability if this is the case…

Also take a look at this topic…
I’ve posted a new message now, because two new devices appeared…
Now I have 3 unknown devices…

← This was wrong →

ps.: You may be victim of a bit-flip due to cosmic ray :stuck_out_tongue:

Don’t have an energy meter, don’t need one… off-grid usage, as said in the first post.

Oh - well, then it is even more unlikely to be correct :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: Wrong anyway, the meter-value does account for the “To-Grid” and “From-Grid” Values, not for consumption.

Re: cosmic rays…
One more reason to revert to vacuum tubes and basic semiconductors, like on the Apollo 11.
They are immune to cosmic rays…

Hi @alexpescaru , the site showing up in your production report is fixed now.

Cause was that it showed sites which were shared to you, as when a user shares their site, you get an access token to that site.

He he
We are not blood brothers, but beta brothers. ))))
Just don’t put my system down if you accidentally got full access ))))

A post was split to a new topic: Why was my question marked solved?

@alexpescaru

Can i ask do you have any RF equipment nearby, i have seen RF spurious emissions cause this type of issue in the past, long shot?

Nope, no RF devices nearby…
And, if you look at the graphs I’ve posted (Powers widget), also in the reports to VRM and subsequent database storage, there is no power consumption at that time, reported and stored. Those graphs are now “built” based on the VRM database stored data.
The anomalies appear only on the Installation data section and the production report - notice the “% Grid” values on Power Production and Consumption sections, for an installation that is off-grid.

Is there any news on this?
At least is there any possibility to delete all that erroneous data as it ruins all reports data… See below.

I think @guystewart mentioned in another topic, that they have no way to access and/or modify the database on a low level basis.

Only victron engineers could do, but generally not an offered service, as messing with the database records is a very sensitive (and time consuming) thing.

So, without having one of the engineers doing something, you can only purge the whole installation, which ofc. may not be desired.
