Victron multiplus 1600 keeps cutting off shore power

Hello!

On my boat, I have a victron multiplus 1600. It has been running really well for the past few months. I’ve made some tweaks to the system settings to make sure it utilizes solar energy mostly. However, it is set up to connect with the shore either if the battery voltage drops bellow a certain voltage (don’t know it by heart, I believe it was 12,30), or if the power usage goes about 1100 watts for more than 5 seconds (ie when I use an airfryer). After a while of being below 500 watts, it will switch back to inverter mode, using the solar power charged battery.

However, this morning the inverter stopped using the shore power. First it did use it, after I had been using a lot of power and it dropped below the minimum voltage, the inverter switched to the charging mode to complete a charge cycle. However, after this process has been completed, the inverter does not want to connect with the shore at all anymore. If I turn on the airfryer for example, it just doesn’t do anything. I’ve been tweaking the settings back just to see if I turn it to the normal settings where it is just always connected iwth shore if the cable is connected, it doesn’t work either. The shore power goes on for a very short while, say 0-3 seconds, and then switches back off. It recognizes the shore I can see that it reads 237 volts. The settings are not in the way of the shore connection I have already ruled that out.

I’m a bit lost, and have no clue what else I can try. Especially given that it was working fine until now has me worried. Any tips?

Best,

Dennis
