I have a multiplus 3k 2X120 12V and I have a 2000w shore input and it’s limited by the multiplus to 13A input. Often, the internal transfer switch on the multiplus opens and i’m on Inverter mode only and not pass thru or Assisting. I have checked all the settings I can’t figure out what is causing this. I switch off the shore input for a while and reconnect it and it then works for a while and then it transfers off it. WTF is going on? could it be a poor sine wave from shore? Is there any way to test if it’s the shore or the inverter is doing this?
If you are able to run VEConfigure using a USB MK3 adaptor and MS Windows, the following screen may be helpful:
Check your settings, it may just be a low-voltage condition.
Also try the protection log button.
Thank you for the reply. What specifically am I looking for on this screen? Or just mirror these settings? I do have mk3 and any operating system.
Click the Show IP (NS) protection log button right after an event occurs, it may tell you why.
What is your low voltage disconnect setting?
Also, the numbers on the left are live (UMains, IMains, etc.) when this is running, you might catch a low voltage situation.
I would NOT check “Accept wide input frequency” unless you are running off a generator.
I assume the shore power grid-based, and is stable.
Any change it is generator power from a central source?
I believe, based on the VRM input frequency graphs, the input to the multiplus is losing frequency or is unstable.
Loose connection?
Can you plot the AC input voltage in VRM as well?
I have a pic but don’t need it. When the voltage goes to zero the HZ goes to zero also. Let me check for loose connection in the inverter input, but I doubt that. It runs just fine on generator on that input, so probably eliminates Victron’s friction connections to the inverter. But will check.
