I’m experiencing an issue with my Victron system where the screen randomly goes dark for about half a second and then comes back. This has been happening for quite a long time now.
From what I can tell, there are no voltage drops on the battery and all the wiring connections are solid. I’m not 100% sure, but it seems that the flickering doesn’t happen when I’m connected to shore (ground) power.
I’ve recorded a short video showing the issue. Any idea what might be causing this?

I did another test today and found out that this issue only occurs when the brightness is set to 100%. For instance, if I set it to 75%, the flickering completely stops. Therefore, it’s likely a software bug.
Do not think it is a software bug, it sounds like a power consumption issue, max screen brightness increases power draw and something has a problem. Voltage higher on shorepower avoids this. If it was a software bug there would be more reports of this.
Question is to stop this flickering I have seen solutions from turning off adaptive dimming (I have) to not using and extension USB cable (not possible in my application).
I saw somewhere that someone had used a higher amperage USB charger to power the GX 70 instead of plugging it into the Cerbo. does this work? Is the USB cable only used for powering the display and not carrying any data?
The USB is only for powering the display, yes, there is no data transmitted. All data is via the HDMI, which is why it is expressly unsupported to extend that using any means.
Got it. Display works fine except for flickering. I’ll try to power it with a good USB charger and hopefully that cures it. If not, I don’t know what I’ll do differently. Maybe dimming the screen will help.
