Just out of curiosity: why are you even running Beta release software ?
Possibly also connected through ethernet.
Bart/Pwfarnell,
While I ran a physical ethernet cable to my Cerbo I’m out of ports on my Ethernet switch so I used WiFi instead. Performance has been great and my first post to this community was about crashing problems with my Cerbo every 5-7 days. Mathijs Vader here responded to my post about known issues connecting the Cerbo to NMEA2K networks via VE.CAN2 port and suggested moving my connection to VE.CAN1 which I did and upon further analysis he or his team found a bug in the software that was fixed in this V3.70-2 Beta build I have been using. I don’t recall the exact sequence of events but I think we went through several beta’s until this one and I was happy things were working and hesitant to make another change. To see if a newer build would resolve that WiFi State Disconnected message I posted, this morning I upgraded to V3.70-26 and now my state looks good.
IC incremental enhancements to the UI and like what I’m seeing. I don’t mind beta testing and contributing feedback if it helps to build a better product. I don’t want to make this my full time job either. As a boater I use the boat for weeks and then park it for weeks so I’m fully engaged for a while and then disappear for awhile based on what I’m working on. I’ve seen weird things in the UI and was happy to see other’s report those issues too so IMO the feedback loop is working. I have several asks/enhancement requests BUT I’m also still a newbie, having just installed my entire system on my boat back in April so I feel I am still in a learning phase. Node-red interests me but I am not at a point yet where I want to invest a ton of time to setup custom workflows when what I have seems to be working petty well.
One Enhancement I’d like to see or IDK understand why I can’t see SOC when drilling into details about my MPII’s I have two Lynx BMS’s, two MPII’s, and one SmartSolar regulator and I don’t understand why they don’t all know the system SOC? The MPII’s have to know SOC to know when to turn on/off/change state IMO. Notice Inverter/Chargers have no concept/info about SOC why?

Please make sure that OS V3.70 Large will contain SignalK version 2.15.1.
Hey all, Venus OS v3.70~27 is available for beta testing now, detail in above change log
Hey @MiPaul , that must be because you’re using dbus-serialbattery, which not only adds compatibility with various batteries, but also changes your UI to another version.
As also discussed today about something else. Btw I’ve deleted those replies - I don’t want to have any discussion here about mods; the discussion is long enough sorting out new features for clean systems.
So on that: please refrain from reporting any UI issues as long as you’re using dbus-serialbattery / hope you understand. thanks!
I do understand, and now that I’m aware that the serial driver changes the GUI, I will look there first for issues.
Thank you,
After upgrading from v3.70~26 to v3.70~27, the Brief and Overview pages do not load data. On the Overview page, the data appears only for a fraction of a second and then disappears again. After reverting to the previous version, everything works as expected.
Other observations, also present in previous versions: after each deployment in Node-RED, some device data such as Tank capacity and Virtual switch name gets overwritten with some older values. For example, I set the tank capacity to 450 liters, but after a Node-RED deployment, the capacity changes back to a previously entered value of 500 liters.
Update: v3.70~28 — same behavior as in v3.70~27, data are showing/disappearing all the time.
Also continue in version 3.70~32.Last working version 3.70~26
Exactly the same here, data showing/disappearing/showing/disappearing/.. ! v3.70~26 is running without any issues.
V3.70-27 → Node Red very slow , permanently losing connection, not loading all pages in the dashboard (or crashing while loading).
Reversed back to V3.70-24 → everything works like it should.
Can’t give more information …
Under GX display appearance there is a new menu entry, where you can define the behavior for the remote console, which is now following the client device system theme by default.
Good day!
Available per just now, Venus OS v3.70~28.
Contains various small bug fixes / stability improvements.
Matthijs
Instaled.
Upgrade SignalK to 2.15+ please, please, please
since Venus OS v3.70~27 it is no longer possible to switch the Remote Console Apperance to “Same as GX display” or “Auto”. It’s always sync wit the OS settings in VRM - in my case white. I would be happy if you could reactivate the possibility to switch like user, please.
Additionally to this request it would be fantastic to have cell voltages as well in the virtual battery
Do you mean the average voltage or the voltage for each individual cell? I believe it is sufficient to state the lowest and highest values.
