Venus OS v3.60~60 available for public testing

On V3.60~60
Central detail of brief page isn’t showing anything.

It’s been that way. Drop the 4th item and the center info will appear.

with ~60 VM-3P75CT as AC Load became unavailable in node-red. Reverted back to ~59 and it’s working again. VM-3P75CT firmware v1.08 HW version 2.

Same here

Am I correct when I assume you mean Virtual device instead of Virtual switch ?
The examples are on the Wiki page I presume ?

2 posts were split to a new topic: No grid values show in guiv2

Same here. All 3 meters, Grid, PV1 and PV2 were not detected. Had to downgrade back to ~59.

3 posts were split to a new topic: V3.60~60: Solar chargers stop charging in ESS system

No I really mean Virtual switch. Its a new node, not too useful yet I think as its intended for a new feature coming soon in gui-v2.

Wrt the examples, to be honest I don’t know. I’ll find out later how that works with the examples.

No connection to Grid meter Victron-VM-3P75CT- by Modbus TCP/UDP

It’s been reported a few times, please check the relevant threads mentioned above.

If the BMS calls for say 15A charge current and there is a DC load of 10A. What I see is that even though the multiplus is set to a max output of 50A, 5A will go into the battery and 10A will be used. I expected the multiplus to output 25A(15A Battery, 10A load). This happens during bulk charging so it’s not due to voltage taper.

I’m not sure if I never noticed it before now or if it is unique to 3.60~60.

Is there a roadmap of new features for gui-v2?
And with guimods (afaik) not planned to be ported to gui-v2, will there be a way to implement custom changes/mods?
I’m asking because I have added an external AC boost charger to a trade-only MPIIGX system (on AC out2) with an dedicated powermeter (BMV) but can’t make the system aware that the AC out2 charge power (that gets measured as DC charge current to the battery) is separate from the AC out1 house loads. As a compromise I now have set the BMV to Solar to make it at least appear in gui-v2 but it’d great to have an actual tile for what it is: an additional AC to DC charger.

Hi,
i updated from 3.60~46 to 3.60~60 and my energy meter ( VM-3P75CT ) is not founded in Venus Os anymore. In Overview Grid shows not connected an AC use is just 6 Watt.
Back to ~46 everything is working fine again.
In Victron connect VM-3P75CT ist founded and shows values correctly.

Hello,
It’s a known bug in v3.60~60 and has been reported in this thread multiple times.

Sorry for duplicated writing issue I did not read the reports.

I tried Beta OS v3.60~60 once more, still no read from solar MPPT
Went back to official release again

  1. You have a dedicated thread for your problem, why didn’t you reply there ?
  2. The root cause is the VM-3P75CT energy meter that doesn’t work with v3.60~60
  3. Going to the official release and then re-installing a version with a known & documented bug won’t magically resolve the bug

A new beta release where this bug is fixed will probably be released very soon.
While waiting for that fixed version your best option is to stay on the stable v3.55 release.

Hi @UpCycleElectric thanks for your interest. No, there is no roadmap to share for gui-v2.

Making installable mods available is definitively on the roadmap though, and we’re getting closer to starting on that. Note that it will take a while - quite a project.

Do note that it is possible to modify gui-v2, see GitHub - victronenergy/gui-v2. Its just more involving at the moment than it was to modify gui-v1.

Hi all, per just now, v3.60~65 is available for public testing.

Fixes the issues with the VM-3P75CT when connected via LAN. Apologies for those issues - we’ve improved our automatic testing system to make sure that can’t happen again like that.

The other main change in the new beta is a much newer Linux kernel. Which means quite intensive testing is required.

In case you see an issue, please do make sure its a regression before reporting it. Meaning: revert to the old version - see how it behaves there - and only then report.

Thanks!
