Hi all, short update: today we released Venus OS v3.55 as an official release. Any system running v3.60 beta firmware remains untouched: they keep running v3.60-beta firmware.
v3.55 official is a small one, has one bug fix:
New UI: Fix bug that prevented the tank alarm thresholds to be configurable.
Per just now, v3.60~57 is available for testing. For changes see above; various small and valuable changes left and right - including an option to select a single tank or battery for the center gauges on Brief page. It used to only be possible to see the total of, for example all fresh water or all fuel.
For a boat its a nice option to make it show the day tank level + all fresh water + all fuel, for example.
Ps. there is one more significant change, also to the new UI:
Change how warnings, alarms and other notifications are shown. Previously the display would move away from wherever it was to the notifications page. Which can be quite annoying while diagnosing an intermittent problem. Now it doesnât change pages, but instead shows a toast/popup while leaving the user on the page where she/he was.
Hi, the VM-3P75CT features coming up are: reporting power factor & phase sequence, adding a phase rotation alarm as well doing the fast updates only when used in the role of grid meter, to reduce the resulting GX CPU load when used to measure AC loads and other types. Especially useful for systems where many of such meters are used. Note that all of this is a bit premature - requires further work + fw. before its of use.
There is another fix in v3.60~59, which I hadnât added to the changelog yet:
Fix Cerbo GX MK2 VE.Can 2 port issues. A while back weâve already released a an improvement for that issue, but that still left a certain percentage of units failing, with the remedy being to RMA/replace them under warranty. OK - but not good.
Now, weâve finally been able to, in software, find a fix that promises to be a 100% solution. Also VRM data this morning confirms it: all units that had issues running v3.60~58 yesterday, and now updated to v3.60~59, report a 100% operational VE.Can 2 port. More testing is needed to be 100% sure, but so far all signals and results are promising!
