Use of VE. Direct to control a bluesolar MPPT

I have a bluesolar MPPT and an Orion XS dc-dc charger. The orion is bluetooth enabled but the MPPT is not. If I connect them together with a VE. Direct cable can I access and control the MPPT via the orion using bluetooth?

No, you need to use a cerbo or pi running Venus OS as intermediary.

For connecting a VE Direct device to a GX device like a Cerbo.

You can think of the GX device as a Master and anything like an MPPT or Orion DC to DC or a SmartShunt as a Slave. You can only connect a Slave to a Master, you can not connect a Slave to a Slave.

Alternatively, you could use a bluetooth smart dongle on the bluesolar mppt to add bluetooth connectivity, and then be able to do updates, use VictronConnect and join a VE.smart network

Looks like I either need to buy a bluetooth dongle or replace the MPPT with a bluetooth enabled one.
