Use current Cerbo for new installation

Hi all,

Since I will be moving into a new house next year, I would like to know which best practice is recommended here. The aim would be to keep the old system and its data as a history in the VRM and to be able to create the new system in parallel in the VRM in advance.

Hey Tobias,

I’m afraid that that is impossible to do.

To reuse the GX in another system, and start fresh in VRM, it needs to be decoupled from the old one; for which there are are two options:

  1. replace the gx with another one (there is a procedure for that; but requires you to have another GX).

  2. delete the existing system.

@mpvader thanks for your answer. Would be great to add such an option to “park” the old for history purpose.

My idea will be, spin up a raspy as replacement/placeholder cerbo, get it assigned for current Installation.
