Easysolar II GX 48/5000/70, as per the title the system has lost visibility of the VE-Direct connected battery monitor corresponding with the point 3 days ago when i updated the GX device to 3.51.
I have tried unplugging and replugging the VE-Direct cable and waiting several hours each time for it to show up.
I am hoping someone here might recognise the problem and point me to the obvious solution ![]()
Often after firmware updates it is worth rebooting a second and sometimes a third time to sort issues like this.
If no joy then go back to the previous stored firmware. If it reappears then raise the issue in the new gui topic.

I have now used a SmartShunt plugged into the VE.direct cable and port that the BMV-700 used. The SmartShunt is seen immediately and its information is incorporated into VRM etc.
The BMV-700 is still in place and still gives very plausible readings on its display. I just canβt get those readings back to the GX device or VRM.
So now I have two VE.direct meters and an EasySolar II GX with only one visible VE.Direct port. If the BMV-700 VE.direct were to work again, is there a way to connect it to the EasySolar II GX?
Use the USB port and a USB/vedirect adapter.
