No VE.Direct connection to MPPT250/70

I am having trouble putting my Easysolar-2 GX Device to work.
The connection to the GX-Device via Wifi worked fine, I got VRM and the gateway and the “VE-Bus” system are visible in the device-list.
However, the built-in Solarcharger MPPT 250/70 that, according to the manual" also has a VE.Direct bus connection, is not visible.
I can see the MPPT in the Victron connect-App via bluetooth but a bluetooth connection is not possible.
I have read that a VE.Direct connection and a bluetooth connection can not be active at the same time. Restarting the device and shutting of the bluetooth-connection on the smartphone did not help.
I have not installed a battery, yet. May that be the cause?
Is the internal connection to the gateway faulty?

I don’t have experience with the EasySolar, but normally you’d start an installation with connections to the battery only. No inputs (solar/AC) and no outputs connected/enabled.

Now the system can boot up and sense the correct battery voltage (verify) and you can safely set all the settings and configurations.

Lastly connect in and outputs.

Maybe the internal VE.direct connection is loose?

Carefully remove the cover to take a look inside.
Pay attention to the ribbon cable connected to the display.
