I posted earlier on another thread but still having this issue.
In VRM settings I’m trying to change mode, battery charge restriction times and buy/sell prices. I can change the settings but after I submit they revert back to the previous settings. I get the message “settings changed they will apply shortly” but they don’t.
I’ve been trying to do this for 3 days and nothing I try has worked. Done it through beta, the app, the web portal. I’ve updated firmware, updated the app. Nothing works.
I see other users have had the same problem but it then just works again. Not for me unfortunately.
Still no change today. Seems to have started after the latest app update (I’m on Android v3.0.10).
Can the DESS settings be added to the GX device? I can cotrol basic ESS like ‘Keep batteries charged’ from the side menu, but the ESS settings menu just has ‘Auto’.
Price setting changes are synchronized to VRM and the effects thereof are expected to show up in the energy graphs after the first recalculation of the schedules, which is normally happening a little past the whole hour, every hour. How you appreciate such a technicality has little to do with anything dynamic. If it takes more than an hour plus ten minutes you are experiencing a fault.
Well, yes of course it’s a fault, that’s the whole point of the thread. We’re not talking about VRM taking some time to adjust to the new settings, we’re talking about not being able to change the settings at all.
Over the past 4 days I have tried to change the operation mode, charge restriction times, import prices etc. None of these changes have taken effect, not after 10 mins, not after an hour, not after 4 days, and certainly not immediately which they used to do, and which I believe they are supposed to do.
Again this isn’t about VRM reacting to new settings, this is about a fault that means the new settings don’t get applied.
It would be nice to hear from a Victron tech with a usefull solution because waiting 10 mins is not the solution.
